Ms. Ellen Pilelsky began her legal career at the Wall Street litigation firm of Liddle & O’Connor. Upon moving to Florida, Ms. Pilelsky was associated with the law firm of Thomson Zeder where she continued to hone her litigation skills.
Subsequently, Ms. Pilelsky joined the Broward County State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where she handled a high volume of cases and received tremendous courtroom experience.
Currently Ms. Pilelsky serves on the Steering Committee of the National DuPont/Teflon Class Action concerning the alleged deceptive marketing tactics of DuPont involving Teflon pot and pans.
In 1989, Ms. Pilelsky formed her own law firm, practicing civil litigation and family matters before joining her husband to form Oppenheim Law. Ms. Pilelsky continues to concentrate on commercial litigation including construction and lien related matters and personal injury.
Ms. Pilelsky is also the president of Weston Title, a company she co-founded in 1994. She is involved with reviewing every title policy before its issuance.
She graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with distinctions and is a 1986 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law where she was an Editorial Board member of the Northwestern University Journal of International Law & Business.
She also is active in the community. Ms. Pilelsky continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the B’nai Aviv synagogue and is its former general counsel. She is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association, and former member of the Broward Women Lawyers Association, Hadassah and National Association of Women Business Owners.
