It has to do with what’s called IVCs, inferior vena cava, implants that are given to certain people who need to be able to take blood thinners but for whatever reason are unable to. And so these little cage-like devices are implanted in one of the main arteries in order to make sure that you don’t end up having blood clots and subsequently a stroke.
