It depends if the lender is a commercial lender or a private lender. I will tell you that if it’s a private lender, usually your foreclosure defense fees will be much greater than if it’s a commercial lender.

If it’s a commercial lender, typically the banks are using firms that are basically just spitting out documents. I don’t want to say they’re robo-attorneys, but their documents are pretty similar. And so, if you’re a foreclosure defense attorney, you’ve seen the documents before and you can respond pretty quickly and efficiently. And so, many foreclosure defense attorneys work by the hour.

Some of them have minimum monthlies that are very reasonable that you pay. And so, a lot of them have payment arrangements that they work out with you. And then they also have bonus arrangements if they’re successful in the foreclosure defense. But, definitely worth looking into if you are in a situation where you’re looking for a foreclosure defense attorney.
