Now obviously, I don’t think we’re talking about the bank’s attorneys, even though they are also foreclosure attorneys and they get paid by the banks obviously. So, then the question is, if someone’s going to defend you in a foreclosure, how are they going to get paid? Well, the reality is that there’s no free lunch.

And so, if in fact you’re looking to have someone do this for free, there may be places like Legal Aid, or maybe some referral services that you can find, where you may get some free foreclosure defense advice. But typically, you know, what we say is that you get what you pay for. So, at the end of the day, you will be paying your foreclosure defense attorney.

There are different arrangements. Many arrangements, like us, are very reasonable and, you know, try and work with people because they know they’re in a pickle or in a hard spot. But yes, foreclosure attorneys, like everyone else, do get paid for their work and efforts, and no one really wants to work for free.
