Oppenheim Pilelsky, Partner Roy D. Oppenheim, Named Broward Lawyers Care Attorney of the Month For November.  

Weston, FL (December 1, 2000) — WESTON, FL- Roy Oppenheim, a partner at the law firm, Oppenheim Pilelsky, PA has been named Broward Lawyers Care Attorney of the Month for November.

Oppenheim has been a member of BLC’s panel for almost 10 years and donated many hours of free quality legal service to clients referred to him.

Oppenheim’s practice includes family, consumer and housing law. He has assisted BLC with cases involving landlord-tenant problems, restraining orders, divorce and social security disability. He has recovered thousands of dollars in back benefits and significantly improved the quality of many people’s lives as he has given his time and best efforts to his pro bono commitment.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Broward Lawyers Care,” states Oppenheim. “It’s a wonderful organization and I’m proud to be part of it.”

He is active in both the Broward County and Weston political scenes. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Broward Democratic Executive Committee and was a Florida Delegate to the 1992 Democratic National Convention.

Oppenheim is the immediate past President of the Weston Democratic Club, which he co-founded and was also a founding member and the attorney who incorporated the Association of Homeowners of Weston, and Temple Bnai Aviv, of which he served as its third President. He is also a director and founder of the Weston Foundation, serving as Chairman of its Allocation Committee, and was recently elected as Vice Chairman of the Weston Charter Review Commission.

Oppenheim is a partner in the firm, along with his wife Ellen Pilelsky. As the anxiety builds regarding the nationwide recall of millions of Firestone tires, several South Florida families have filed a class action suit against the tire maker. The lawsuit was filed today in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court by attorneys Roy

Oppenheim and Bill McCarty of Oppenheim Pilelsky, and Alan Kluger and Steve Silverman of Kluger Peretz Kaplan & Berlin.
