A Personal Special Thanksgiving Message 2024
Sat Nov 23, 2024 by Ellen Pilelsky on News
Every year, it is tradition that we take a moment and reflect upon those things for which we are thankful.
It has been a bit since I personally wrote this message, mainly because of the loss of both my parents. For those of you who have experienced loss, it is a difficult process to navigate grief. Yet, in trying to cope with loss, we understand that life moves forward— despite or in spite of how we feel. We find solace during the holidays, and a renewed appreciation for what is as opposed to dwelling on what was.
And that is why I am sharing this painting, called “Ice Creams on a Sofa”, drawn by our four year old granddaughter.
The painting reminds me of what Thanksgiving means: a celebration of life. A symbol of happiness and expression. A time for loved ones to gather and laugh. A time when we as a community come together –even if just for one day to give thanks for our friends, family and the abundance of joy we find in our everyday lives.
Thanksgiving is also an opportunity for our firm to be thankful for having been entrusted to serve the community for more than three decades. Our passion is to help people turn their dreams into reality and/or give peace of mind when life may appear unsettled. We are thankful for our team and clients who have been with us for decades, and for our colleagues.
So on this Thanksgiving day, on behalf of all of us, let’s celebrate all of the good we have. Let’s look at “Ice Creams on a Sofa” and be thankful for what we have.
On behalf of all of us, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
From the Heart,
Ellen
