A Personal Thanksgiving Message From Roy Oppenheim

My Dear Friends:

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it always brings us all a little closer together. Even though it's not really a religious holiday, when I was a kid growing up in New York I used to always go to an interfaith service of thanks with my parents the night before Thanksgiving that I truly enjoyed. It was the only time of year that all the different faiths would get together to celebrate. A different church or synagogue would be the sponsor each year and people of all religious denominations would give thanks together.

After considering the events of the past year, I am truly thankful that I have been able to assist so many people with their own financial concerns. Sometimes the person giving is really the one receiving. Many people, such as myself, start off going to law school truly wanting to help people. Along the way that motivation or desire gets sidelined for whatever reasons.

So I give thanks for all of you who help me remember. Most of all, we give our sincerest thanks to all our friends and clients who have given our firm and me the inspiration and ability to help and assist them during these unusual economic times.
