Wells Fargo name

The Deal:
Oppenheim negotiated the deal for World Office Products of Miami
Lakes to acquire licensing rights to the Wells Fargo and Wells
Fargo Co. names for security products to be manufactured starting
later this year. The deal, valued at $45 million to $50 million,
was negotiated with Equity Management, a California company that
manages the Wells Fargo trademark.
Details: The
Miami Lakes company will have exclusive rights to the Wells Fargo
name for products that include home and office safes, strong boxes,
money counters, money changers, security cameras and monitors.
The company also will make door locks, keys and padlocks with
the name. The contract calls for the products, which will replace
World Office Products Remmington line of security products,
to be distributed in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
