Oppenheim Pilelsky Represents Developer in $11.2 Million Sale of Weston Retail Plaza

(Weston)— Attorney Roy Oppenheim, managing partner of Oppenheim Pilelsky, represented Millennium 2000 Development, LLC in its sale of Millennium Plaza at Weston for $11.2 million. The buyer was Jaffe of Sawgrass who was represented by attorney Bruce Goldman. The transaction closed in late December 2003.

The Millennium Plaza at Weston is a 45,000 square foot mixed-use retail/office project located at 2800 Weston Road in Weston, Florida. It was developed in 2001 by Millennium 2000 Development, a Weston-based company whose managing partner is Ignacio Martinez, Jr.

Oppenheim said Martinez plans to use some proceeds from this sale to fund operating expenses at The Millennium Hollywood’s City Place, a million-square foot discount outlet and family entertainment center located in Hollywood. In March of last year, Millennium Development Enterprises signed a 60-year lease with the mall’s owners to operate and manage Hollywood’s City Place. Oppenheim represented the developer in that transaction as well.
